New Moon Press was founded in 1994 to win support from consumers in Louisiana whose access to wild-caught redfish and other coastal finfish was jeopardized by out-of-control recreational fishing and tourism. When the movement spread across the gulf, former commercial fisherman and National Fisherman reporter Robert Fritchey documented the landmark battles that left sportsmen happy and seafood consumers with empty plates. Grandma called it “investigative journalism.”
